2021 Review – I’m going to talk about the positives, the things I’m proud of and this things I’m grateful for. I acknowledge that this year has not been smooth sailing but I want to focus on the good times.
Love & Stitches Club
I’ve built an awesome little community within the Love & Stitches Club (my online dressmaking club). The connection between the lovely members has grown this year and we are all supporting and encouraging each other to grow.
The feedback and encouragement that I get from the members is a constant source of motivation.
Together this year we have made 12 different garments in the sew alongs!
Having the Love & Stitches Club meant hat I had income during the times when I could not teach in person classes. That was not the case during the first lockdown in 2020.
Sewing School – 5 week dressmaking courses
It’s been so wonderful to see full classes of lovely smiling students. Even if they’re smiling behind their face masks.

I’m so grateful to have helped so many of you this year to start your sewing journey or to help you continue to grow your skills.
I love to see the joy on your faces when your garments come together and see your delight as you try them on for the first time. I truly warms my heart and brings me a sense of deep satisfaction.
One to One Students
I have had more one to one students this year than any previous years and we have covered a wide range of skills. My one to one spaces have been fully booked several times this year! Which is awesome!
One to one is definitely the fastest most focussed way to learn and is great for students who might feel less confidence in a group setting.
My prices are going up on the 1st January, but there is still time for you to book lessons now and beat the price rise.
StraightCurves in Chesterfield
2021 saw me continue my relationship with StraightCurves in Chesterfield where I teach 2 days a week. I have some wonderful regular students as well as flourishing beginner’s classes.
