Reading & Understanding Patterns
Monday 21st May – 6-8pm – Bawtry – Β£25
Decipher the hieroglyphics that dressmaking patterns are written in! My students often tell me that they are intimidated by dressmaking patterns and that they are just so confusing that they donβt know where to start.
Take this interactive workshop and it will all begin to make sense. Understand how to make the right size to get a great fit, pick the right fabric for your project and start to create fabulous wearable garments.

I made my version in a lovely grey linen, I can see it working on the beach or for summer evenings at the pub or even for hot days at the office!

In this popular workshop you will learn tips and techniques to sew jersey or knitted fabrics with a regular sewing machine.
There are loads of fabulous patterns out there designed for knitted fabrics and a lot of clothes in the shops are knitted fabrics, and if youβre like me, most of your tops and dresses in your wardrobe will be knitted or jersey fabrics. Iβll show you how you can make clothes with jersey or knitted fabrics that youβll love

Every Tuesday (except 12th June) I host a Tuesday Sewcial in Bawtry (6-8pm), come along, sew, chat and have fun and get to know other ladies who love to sew. This session is Β£5 per person and includes use of Janome 525s sewing machines, tools and tea or coffee.
