It’s that time of year again when the summer holidays are in full swing but all the adverts and shops are shouting about Back to School!
Well I’m joining in their chorus to say that as the kids go back to school it’s also time for you to learn something new. What better time for you to Learn to Sew?
This September there is a bit of something for everyone in my workshop programme, whether you are brand new to sewing or are a bit more experienced, check out what I’ve got coming up…
Saturday 2nd September – Learn to Sew Shirt Dresses – Oh Sew Sweet at the Hut, Wombwell (S73)
This relaxed fit shirt dress is flattering and comfortable. Learn how to sew a yoke and a collar as well as making buttonholes.
Β£45 – To allow you to create something more personal, fabric is not included for this workshop, but full guidence will be given on booking. (Β£10 extra if you want to keep your pattern to use again.)

Saturday 9th September – Learn to Sew Shift Dresses – Bawtry (DN10)
This workshop is always so popular. Make your own version of this easy to wear shift dress. This workshop is ideal for beginners as there are no zips or buttonholes used to fasten it.

Monday 11th September – Learn to Sew Upcycling T-shirts to Big Knickers – Bawtry (DN10)
Bring a new lease of life to tired old t-shirts or leggings and create a pair of knickers similar to the ones below.
Β£25 – bring any t-shirts, leggings etc with elastane content – all other materials & tools are provided for you to use.
Saturday 23rd September – Learn to Sew Your Own Project – Bawtry (DN10)
You bring the fabric the pattern, fabric and any other notions required to make your chosen item and I’ll help you learn the skills to make it.
Β£45 – Sewing machines & tools are provided for you to use.
Thursday 28th September – Learn to Sew Jersey Techniques Workshop – Bawtry (DN10)
I get asked a lot about sewing with jersey fabrics without using an overlocker, I’ll show you tips and techniques so you can get the best results with this tricky fabric with just a regular sewing machine.

Saturday 30th September – Learn to Sew Kimono Jackets – Swinton (S64)
Create your own version of these brilliant easy to wear Kimono Jackets at this workshop in association with Thread Mill Fabrics.
