You provide the pattern, fabric and other bits & bobs required (to the pattern specification), I’ll provide the advice, guidance, sewing machines, tools & biscuits and together we’ll get you going on your very own project of choice.

Winter Sewing School is the dressmaking course for you, whether you are a novice ready to take the first steps into making clothes or you are more experienced and want to upskill your dressmaking and get a better fit and a better finish.

Sew Surgery – Dressmaking
Not ready to fly solo with your dressmaking?
Join the Sew Surgery for a fully tutor supported group session and work on a garment of your choice. This is a relaxed session where you can come in with your own projects to take advantage of our big tables, sewing machines and overlockers with your tutor on hand at all times.

Beginner’s Dressmaking – Part 2 (5 week dressmaking course) – Starts Friday 1st March, 6.30-9pm
Following on from Beginner’s Dressmaking (part one), continue your journey into making fabulous wearable clothes that you’ll love! This course allows you to develop, practice and increase your confidence to make beautiful clothes that actually fit you in the fabrics you love. It is the perfect way to continue to indulge your dressmaking habit and develop it into an addiction.
Repeat this course as many times as you like, your skills will grow and you will become a more confident and skilled dressmaker.

Over the next few months I’ll be hosting a range of workshops at Oh Sew Sweet at The Hut in Wombwell to help you build a capsule wardrobe collection of me made clothes from a range of Sew To Grow Patterns.
Sew to Grow patterns are designed to help you get great fitting me-made clothes that will build your body confidence as well as your sewing confidence with the Fit to Flatter pattern adaption techniques that will help you understand your body shape better and how to adapt patterns to fit.
