1:1 Sewing Lessons Overview
From January 2026 all one to one lessons will be at our new C-view Studio (Find out more).
All lessons booked for dates in November & December 2025 will be at our Bawtry Studio.
I’m really proud of the work that I do with my 1:1 students.
We work together to develop your own skills as needed, and as such, the projects and skills covered in these lessons are extremely varied.
I’ve helped students work on everything from achieving better fitting trousers, and altering patterns to accommodate big boobs on a small frame, to creating an ultimate, dream wedding dress.
I want to work with you to help you feel more confident creating the clothes you love. Come and join the community, and get set to take your dressmaking skills to a whole other level.

Fitting Support Lesson
If your husband/friends/partner not particularly helpful in pinning and adjusting your garments?!
I can help you learn how to alter and adjust the fit of your garment, you'll never need to ask the favour again!

Pattern & Fabric Consultation
Not sure which fabric will bring your sewing project to life, or made choices in the past that didn’t quite work out?
In a 1:1 Pattern & Fabric Consultation (at the Love & Stitches Studio or via Zoom), we’ll explore your ideas, find the right pattern, match it with the perfect fabric, and give you the confidence to shop wisely and start your project with clarity and inspiration.
30-minutes: £25
Practical Info
For your first lesson, you’ll need to have a pattern ready for whatever you are planning to make. You will also need to have sourced and purchased your fabric, but you might not need it in the first session. If you need any advice on patterns, or what type of fabric will be best for your project, I am more than happy to advise you.
I do have a small selection of beginner friendly patterns from independent pattern designers available for you to purchase if needed.

Do I need to bring my own sewing machine?
There are studio sewing machines (Janome 725s Sewist) for students to use in class, or you can choose to bring your own to use in class. Please let me know if you’d like to use a studio machine so I can have it ready for your lesson.
Do I need to bring my own fabric?
You will need to supply your own fabric for any projects you are working on at the studio. You may not need fabric for your first lesson if you’ve never done any sewing before and we need to cover basics first.
If you are doing a “Get to Know your Sewing Machine” or a “Make Friends with your Overlocker” lesson you do not need to bring any fabric, as I will supply fabric for you in these lessons.

Refunds are not offered. Lessons can be rescheduled up to 48 hours before the lesson start time.
