Sew Along December 2020 – Tailors Ham & Seam Roll – Part 1 – Gathering Supplies

Gather Your Supplies

You will need:

Densely woven cotton fabric such as calico 0.5m
Printed cotton outer fabric (optional) fat quarter
Wool fabric (optional) Fat quarter
Stuffing material – either wood shavings (pet bedding type) or cotton fabric scraps

The key to choosing your fabrics is that they must be able to take a high heat, so do not use any synthetic or mixed fibres fabric.

Wool is good as is provides a textured surface for more grip on slippy fabrics but also absorbs the moisture from the steam when pressing.
